Job Description:
An opportunity for a Facility Engineer (Utilities) to manage and optimize critical utility systems within a pharmaceutical manufacturing site. You will play a key role in ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement of systems such as chillers and HVAC while collaborating with cross functional teams and external service providers. This role offers exposure to complex engineering projects and asset lifecycle management.
Responsibilities:
- Act as system owner for utility systems including chiller, HVAC, and compressed air
- Manage lifecycle and reliability of assigned systems
- Support troubleshooting of technical issues and unplanned maintenance
- Provide input for maintenance improvement and optimization
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Identify recurring failures and drive continuous improvement
- Support development of maintenance strategies and planning
- Lead and review maintenance jobs and concepts
- Collaborate with project teams on system design and installation
- Work with CMMS systems such as Maximo where applicable
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical or Industrial
- Experience in GMP regulated environments such as pharmaceutical biotech or food industry
- Strong experience with chiller systems is mandatory
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and utilities
- Compressed air systems knowledge is a plus
- Familiarity with building management systems and equipment
- Experience working with stakeholders across departments
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Fluent in English and Dutch both written and spoken, Dutch preferred
- Availability for on call duty service
- Familiarity with maintenance systems such as CMMS ERP or SAP preferred
- Understanding of validation processes such as FAT SAT SIT is a plus

- Contract duration: 6 months with possible extension
- Work setup: Fully onsite
