Role Description
As a Technical Operator on automated production lines, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and optimising fully automated production systems in a GMP-regulated environment. You will combine technical expertise with operational discipline to ensure equipment performance, product quality, safety, and compliance. You will also contribute to troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated production equipment and lines to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
- Perform equipment set-ups, changeovers, line cleaning, and line clearances in accordance with established procedures.
- Troubleshoot process disturbances and take appropriate actions to restore equipment and production performance.
- Maintain production equipment and perform minor mechanical adjustments where required.
- Adjust mechanical and process parameters to optimise equipment and line performance.
- Record, verify, and maintain accurate production data in SAP and MES systems.
- Support deviation management and triage activities, ensuring issues are identified and addressed appropriately.
- Perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies such as RCA and 5WHY.
- Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Ensure all production activities are performed safely and in compliance with GMP and applicable quality standards.
Requirement
- MBO or equivalent technical education.
- Proven experience working in automated production environments, preferably within assembly, labelling, or packaging.
- Strong technical, mechanical, and analytical skills.
- Experience with structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis methodologies, such as RCA and 5WHY.
- Experience working in a highly regulated production environment; GMP experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with SAP and/or MES systems.
- Strong sense of ownership and a structured, quality-driven approach to work.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in 3-shift and 5-shift operations.
