Role description
As a Regulatory Affairs Specialist, you will ensure compliance of food products, labels, packaging, and business processes with international food legislation and customer requirements. You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across Quality, Research and Development, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing.
This position combines regulatory expertise, business partnering, and project support, helping the organization translate complex legislation into practical business actions while supporting innovation and market expansion.
Responsibilities
Monitor global food legislation, regulatory developments, and industry standards
Assess compliance risks and business impact of legislative changes
Review and approve product labels, packaging artwork, and marketing claims
Support innovation and product development projects from concept to launch
Conduct regulatory impact assessments for ingredients, products, and packaging changes
Advise internal stakeholders on food regulations and compliance requirements
Support market expansion activities by evaluating regulatory requirements in different countries
Investigate compliance issues and develop practical corrective solutions
Develop and improve regulatory policies, guidelines, and internal processes
Deliver regulatory training and awareness sessions to business teams
Collaborate with international regulatory affairs colleagues
Act as a subject matter expert in areas such as packaging, sustainability, contaminants, nutrition, and food claims
Respond to regulatory and compliance questions from customers
Support manufacturing transfer and cost reduction projects from a regulatory perspective
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of Regulatory Affairs experience
Strong experience within the dairy industry
Experience working in a Business to Business environment
Degree in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, Nutrition, Quality, or a related field
Deep understanding of European and international food legislation
Experience reviewing labels, claims, and packaging compliance
Strong risk assessment and problem solving skills
Ability to translate legislation into practical business actions
Experience working in cross functional project teams
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Strong communication skills in English
German language skills are advantageous
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience supporting commercial and innovation projects
