Role Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planning Specialist to join our team in Maasdam. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules for a variety of dairy products. Your focus will be on ensuring efficient operations, meeting customer demands, and supporting ongoing changes within the factory environment.
Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement short-term production plans covering up to two weeks ahead.
-Continuously optimise the production schedule by balancing demand, stock levels, capacities, and operational developments.
-Identify and resolve bottlenecks and operational challenges promptly.
-Monitor and manage key performance indicators such as Service Level, Waste, and Inventory for your assigned product portfolio.
-Collaborate closely with various departments within the factory and at head office to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
-Participate in projects related to new product launches, process improvements, and IT system upgrades (such as OMP).
-Support continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing and enhancing planning procedures and workflows.
-Provide operational support during major change initiatives, including new scheduling systems and shift modifications, contributing to a smooth transition during busy periods.
-Assist as an experienced resource and sparring partner in project-related activities, especially during IT migrations and shift system changes.
-Be available for on-call support during evenings and weekends, rotating among team members, to ensure production continuity.
Requirements:
-HBO/WO level education or equivalent experience in Supply Chain or Logistics.
-Knowledge of production and logistics processes, ideally within FMCG or food industries.
-Experience with planning systems such as SAP ECC, SAP APO, or OMP is preferred.
-Ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing, dynamic environment.
-Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
-Customer-oriented mindset and focus on operational success.
-Good communication skills and a team player with a positive attitude.
-Fluency in professional Dutch is essential for participation in operational meetings.
Other Information:
-This role involves working at the Maasdam production site at least four days a week, with one day flexible for remote work. The position includes participation in a rotating on-call schedule during evenings and weekends, shared among five team members.
-The team comprises eight members, including four planners, with an open, social atmosphere that values humor, mutual support, and openness to new ideas.
