Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated SHE Specialist to join the team at our production site. In this vital role, you will contribute to maintaining and improving health, safety, and environmental standards across the facility. The SHE Specialist will play an active part in creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace for all colleagues, engaging with various stakeholders to ensure best practices are followed.

Responsibilities
•    Collaborate with operational teams to address diverse SHE issues, including machine safety, explosive safety, chemicals, and fire safety.
•    Manage the emergency response plan and coordinate the site’s emergency response team (BHV).
•    Support and advise on safety reports and incident follow-ups, ensuring timely and effective actions.
•    Conduct safety inspections and workplace rounds to identify and mitigate risks.
•    Maintain compliance with environmental permits and manage related documentation.
•    Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including management, authorities, and operators, to promote safety initiatives.
•    Participate in and contribute to the organisation’s global SHE community, sharing knowledge and best practices.


Requirements
•    HBO-level education with over 10 years of relevant experience, or a university/master’s degree with over 7 years of experience.
•    Strong knowledge of SHE management systems, risk assessments, and audit procedures.
•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
•    Result-oriented with a focus on quality and safety standards.
•    Natural leadership qualities, capable of motivating colleagues and leading safety initiatives.
•    Experience with safety and environmental regulations is essential.


Other Information
This role can be filled as either a permanent position or an interim assignment, depending on the candidate’s preference. The position involves working mainly on-site, with some flexibility for remote work in the afternoons if the candidate lives nearby. The typical workday includes supporting operations in the morning, conducting inspections, and completing safety reports in the afternoon. Availability for ad hoc tasks between 11:00 and 12:00 is required.
