The environment is cross-functional and international, working closely with procurement, supply chain, risk, audit, and external partners to protect supply, revenue, and reputation.
Job Description
Our client is looking for a Supplier Risk & Compliance Lead to strengthen third-party resilience across the supplier base. This person will help proactively identify and manage supplier and product risks, improve risk visibility across multiple tiers, and ensure consistent compliance and control practices across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the third-party resilience program to prevent supply disruption and reduce supplier-driven business risk.
- Develop and maintain supplier/product risk mapping, including multi-tier (N-tier) supplier mapping and prioritisation approaches.
- Update and maintain risk scoring models, risk ratings, and the overall assessment methodology.
- Ensure availability, accuracy, and quality of data used for supplier risk assessment and reporting.
- Build strong working relationships with procurement, supply chain, value chain, integrated risk management, and internal audit stakeholders.
- Create meaningful risk reporting and contribute inputs to enterprise risk dashboards.
- Monitor emerging risks (including macro-economic and geopolitical factors) and proactively flag supplier crises or concerns to stakeholders.
- Define the right controls and assessment frequency to support consistent, reliable risk management outcomes.
- Develop guidance materials (including playbooks) and deliver training to internal stakeholders to drive consistent adoption.
- Support internal control assessments by coordinating a consistent approach, performing assessments, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Maintain policy/compliance documentation and support internal audit activities as needed.
- Facilitate supplier compliance programs linked to relevant regulations (e.g., chemical/compliance-related supplier assessments and reporting), working with external solution partners where applicable.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, or Risk Management, with strong exposure to supplier risk topics.
- Proven ability to work effectively in complex, matrix organizations- and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong communication and partnering skills; comfortable coordinating with remote/global teams.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail; experience with data analytics/reporting tools is beneficial.
- Track record of identifying and implementing process improvements and taking ownership for measurable results.
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fluent in English.
