Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and eager Junior Manufacturing Systems Support Specialist to join our Technology team. In this entry-level role, you will provide essential support for manufacturing and warehouse operations, working closely with a seasoned team to ensure smooth technology functionality on the shop floor and in storage areas. This position offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills in manufacturing systems and IT support within a global industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the deployment and maintenance of manufacturing and warehouse technology systems, including printers, scanners, and production equipment.
- Support the implementation of new technological solutions aimed at enhancing manufacturing reliability and efficiency, including emerging Industry 4.0 technologies like IoT and AI.
- Perform updates, patching, and troubleshooting of operating systems and applications used on the shop floor and in warehouses.
- Deliver and set up IT equipment for production and warehouse staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and support change implementation.
- Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and user training materials.
- Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to ensure operational continuity and technical support.
- Keep abreast of advancements in manufacturing technology and industry best practices to recommend improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Up to 3 years of experience in IT support, manufacturing technology, or operations technology is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of IT systems, application management, and a hands-on, problem-solving attitude.
- Knowledge of GxP or GDP regulations and experience in manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a flexible, focused approach.
- An eagerness to learn, adapt, and develop technical expertise in industrial systems.
