Job Description
We are looking for an Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer (Projects) to support and deliver electrical and instrumentation engineering activities across capital projects, maintenance improvements, and operational support. The Instrumentation & Electrical Engineer (Projects) will provide compliant designs, translate requirements into clear specifications, and help ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard.
Responsibilities
- Deliver concept designs and translate them into clear, well-documented engineering solutions.
- Prepare and review specifications and technical requirements, including quality and process safety considerations.
- Coordinate and review engineering deliverables from external contractors to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Ensure designs meet applicable standards and internal procedures for electrical and instrumentation work.
- Manage and track engineering activities to support delivery against project schedules and budgets.
- Act as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders such as Maintenance, Operations, and Manufacturing/Process Technology.
- Support site activities such as commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and technical handover where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen project execution and engineering quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a comparable discipline.
- Practical engineering experience in an industrial environment (process industry preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of relevant electrical/instrumentation standards and directives (e.g., ATEX/IEC 60079, EMC, Machinery Directive, IEC 60204, and common NEN standards).
- Solid instrumentation knowledge; affinity with electrical engineering and design is required.
- Understanding of process automation and safety-related systems (SIL/SIS knowledge is a plus).
- Strong analytical skills, structured problem-solving approach, and clear communication.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy, project-driven environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Willingness to complete an online assessment and screening as part of the process.
- Temporary Full Time Contract (1 Year Duration)
