Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Interim CI Specialist Learning & Development to join our Continuous Improvement team at our Borculo production site for a six-month maternity leave cover assignment. In this role, you will contribute to strengthening a culture of continuous learning and performance improvement across the organization.
Working closely with managers, employees, trainers, and key stakeholders, you will drive Learning & Development initiatives that support both individual capability growth and operational excellence. You will help translate the site's learning strategy into practical solutions, workplace learning programs, and sustainable improvements that deliver measurable business impact.
This position is ideal for a Learning & Development professional with a strong background in Human Performance, workplace learning, and change management within a manufacturing or production environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the further development and communication of the site's Learning & Development vision and strategy.
- Translate L&D objectives into practical improvement initiatives, projects, and local policies.
- Implement and enhance workplace learning and training programs across the production site.
- Support managers, employees, trainers, workplace coaches, and assessors in improving learning effectiveness and performance.
- Identify knowledge, skills, and performance gaps and develop targeted development solutions.
- Design, develop, and implement training programs, learning pathways, performance support tools, and assessment frameworks.
- Develop and maintain competency frameworks, qualification structures, and career development pathways across departments.
- Ensure learning activities, training records, and qualifications are accurately maintained within the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Collaborate with external training providers to strengthen technical and professional capabilities.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives by linking learning and development activities to operational performance and business results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree level education (HBO) or equivalent.
- Degree in Educational Sciences, Learning & Development, Human Performance, Organizational Learning, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably within manufacturing, process, food production, or industrial environments.
- Proven experience implementing workplace learning solutions and driving Human Performance improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and Learning & Development best practices.
- Experience designing and implementing workplace training programs and competency-based development frameworks.
- Knowledge of the 70:20:10 learning methodology and its practical application in operational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and build effective relationships across all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical, communication, and change management skills.
- Results-oriented professional with a passion for continuous learning and organizational improvement.
