Role Description
We are seeking a hands-on Automation Technician to support pharmaceutical manufacturing operations by maintaining and troubleshooting automation systems. As the first point of escalation for automation-related issues, you will ensure maximum equipment uptime, minimize production downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with Production, Maintenance, and Automation Engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of escalation for automation-related issues on the production floor.
Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation equipment.
Investigate recurring issues and implement sustainable improvements.
Support automation projects, equipment upgrades, and system optimization.
Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, and external vendors.
Ensure compliance with GMP, quality, and safety standards.
Key Requirements
- MBO+ or Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as an Automation Technician or in a similar automation maintenance role.
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial automation systems.
- Experience within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and willing to work a 3-shift rotation.
