Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable and  Maintenance Automation Engineer to join our client’s team in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and supporting telecom networks to ensure seamless connectivity and high-quality service delivery

Responsibilities
-Perform advanced maintenance and operational support for automation & computerized systems (ISA levels 1–3) in a packaging/manufacturing environment.
-Troubleshoot PLC/SCADA/HMI-related issues and act as the first point of escalation for automation incidents.
-Ensure GMP-compliant documentation: complete and accurate work order records and related logs.
-Create/revise/review technical documentation (work instructions, job plans, PM improvements, technical procedures).
-Execute routine automation maintenance (e.g., backups/restores, access management support, audit trail reviews) and support patching activities with IT/DTI.
-Set up secure remote vendor connections per Amgen standards; manage vendor tickets and coordinate SME support.
-Support implementation of projects as an automation specialist (including within shift operations).
-Coach and train senior maintenance technicians on automation topics; develop training materials and provide on-the-job coaching.
-Monitor and optimize automation system performance to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime

 

Minimum requirements
-MBO+ or Bachelor’s in Automation / Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics (or equivalent hands-on experience).
-3+ years in a GMP-regulated manufacturing or packaging environment, focused on automation.
-Proven experience maintaining/troubleshooting PLC, SCADA, HMI systems.Working knowledge of GMP and compliance for computerized systems.
-Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
-English proficiency (verbal & written) for clear communication and documentation.
