Our client is a global leader in the FMCG industry, this organization operates across confectionery, food, and pet care categories, serving millions of consumers worldwide. In the Netherlands, it plays a key role in driving category growth and market insights across the Veghel region.

Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and Category Analyst to join our client’s team in the Veghel region. The successful candidate will act as a market co-pilot, providing key insights and analysis to support business growth and strategic planning. This role involves partnering closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to align market intelligence with company objectives.

Responsibilities
-Analyze local market drivers and key performance metrics to identify growth opportunities
-Prepare and present in-depth business analyses, including performance reports and trend summaries using Nielsen and other data sources
-Conduct root cause analyses to uncover performance issues and opportunities, facilitating discussions in S&OP and management meetings
-Manage relationships with Nielsen, GFK, IRI, and other data providers, ensuring data accuracy and updates for new products and competitive items
-Deliver market foresights, shopper insights, and category trends through research and data analysis to support the company’s growth strategy
-Collaborate with the management team, sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance to drive a strategic growth agenda
-Maintain and update internal data systems and databases, ensuring the latest information is incorporated for decision-making


Requirements
-Master’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field
-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business analysis, market research, or consumer/shopper insights
-Strong analytical skills with expertise in Nielsen, Excel, and data translation into actionable insights
-Excellent communication skills in English, capable of presenting complex data clearly and persuasively
-Knowledge of YouGov or shopper data analysis is a plus
-Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, with at least 1-2 days in the office per week
