Role Description
As Manager Supply Planning, you are responsible for leading the end-to-end supply planning function across a large and complex dairy portfolio. You will manage a team of 40+ supply chain professionals located across the Netherlands and Belgium, ensuring alignment between demand, supply, capacity, inventory, and service performance.
In this role, you operate at both strategic and operational level, driving S&OP maturity, improving planning processes, and supporting a broader digital transformation within the supply chain planning landscape. You act as a key interface between commercial, manufacturing, finance, and supply chain stakeholders in a highly dynamic and matrix-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end supply planning across a large portfolio of fresh and ambient dairy products within a multi-site European network.
- Drive the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts, production capacity, inventory levels, and service requirements.
- Balance service, cost, and cash objectives by optimising supply plans across internal and external production sites.
- Align and manage stakeholders across commercial, supply chain, manufacturing, and finance functions at various organisational levels.
- Develop and execute supply planning strategies aligned with broader business and transformation objectives.
- Lead planning transformation initiatives, including digitalisation and process improvement programmes.
- Build scenario analyses and planning models to support decision-making around capacity, risk, and network optimisation.
- Manage and develop a large, geographically distributed team, focusing on performance, capability building, and engagement.
- Monitor and improve KPIs related to service level, inventory health, cost efficiency, and cash performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, systems, and ways of working.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Supply Planning roles, preferably within FMCG or food environments.
- Proven experience leading S&OP processes in complex, multi-site supply networks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior-level influence across commercial, operations, and finance.
- Experience leading large, distributed teams in a matrix organisation.
- Strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals: service, cost, cash, inventory optimisation, and network planning.
- Experience with change management and supply chain transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with experience in scenario planning.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field (APICS is a plus).
- Strong communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
- Experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
