Role Description
As an Associate Scientist, you will be responsible for performing hands-on material characterization and analytical investigations to support pharmaceutical products and packaging. You will utilize advanced analytical techniques to identify and resolve product-related issues, contribute to root cause investigations, and support laboratory activities that ensure product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on analysis using techniques such as SEM-EDX, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, optical microscopy, tensile and compression testing, and X-ray inspection to support projects focused on extraneous matter and packaging.
  • Assist in organizing and executing global laboratory activities within a pharmaceutical environment, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Support investigations into pharmaceutical materials, root cause analysis, and characterization of drug products and raw materials.
  • Prepare technical investigation reports and document findings clearly and accurately.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve material-related issues.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, physical, chemical, or analytical sciences.
  • Experience with research, development, manufacturing, or testing of pharmaceutical products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques such as SEM-EDX, FTIR, Raman, microscopy, and mechanical testing.
  • Ability to write technical reports and communicate effectively in English.
  • Capable of working independently, taking responsibility, and performing under pressure.
