Job Description
For a manufacturing site in the Netherlands, our client is looking for a Stores & Facilities Team Leader (Manufacturing Site) to manage a team that supports Maintenance operations. This role combines hands-on leadership with process improvement, safety compliance, and people development. The Stores & Facilities Team Leader (Manufacturing Site) works closely with site leadership to ensure materials, equipment, and services are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to standards.
Responsibilities
The Stores & Facilities Team Leader (Manufacturing Site) will be responsible for:
Leading the team that supports Maintenance through key service areas such as:
- Stores & Receiving (inspection, inbound handling, storage, and issuing of MRO materials)
- Kitting & staging of materials per work order
- Safety shop activities (inspection, cleaning, repair of safety clothing/equipment, and related site safety support)
- Managing distribution of PPE and supporting internal/external mail and printing needs
- Coordinating general site facility services
- Ensuring all activities are executed according to procedures and safety standards
- Monitoring and improving work processes, team effectiveness, and day-to-day execution
- Driving continuous improvement by analysing KPIs, trends, deviations, and operational bottlenecks, and translating these into practical improvement actions
- Coaching and developing team members through performance management, feedback, and individual development plans
- Managing key people-related topics such as planning, training, absence management, and performance reviews
Requirements
The ideal Stores & Facilities Team Leader (Manufacturing Site) has:
- A completed HBO degree or the proven ability to operate at HBO level
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team in a production, maintenance, logistics, or site services environment
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and the discipline to work to standards in a regulated/industrial setting
- A continuous improvement mindset (Lean experience is a strong advantage)
- The ability to analyse data (KPIs, dashboards, tables) and convert findings into structured improvements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to stay effective under pressure
