Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and environmental standards across our production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), leading audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting production teams in achieving the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, environmental regulations, and internal company standards.
- Maintain, monitor, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) and process control systems.
- Lead and participate in internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, corrective actions, and follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with certification standards such as IFS, HACCP, RSPO, and Beter Leven, including timely renewals.
- Act as the primary quality advisor to the QE Manager and Production team on quality and process-related matters.
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects focused on quality enhancement and process optimization.
- Conduct root cause analyses for non-conformities, customer complaints, and production deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and manage production quality issues, product holds, and process deviations to minimize risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance and product quality.
- Coordinate with external laboratories, certification bodies, pest control providers, and suppliers.
- Prepare, analyze, and present KPIs, quality reports, and trend analyses to management.
- Organize and deliver quality and food safety training sessions and toolbox meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Food Technology, Food Science, Food & Quality Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality standards, including IFS, HACCP, RSPO, and Beter Leven.
- Experience with quality management systems, audit planning, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Quality Assurance (QA) software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
