Role description
The Technology Transfer Program Manager is responsible for leading Small Molecule drug product technology transfer projects across manufacturing sites. The role provides end to end oversight of transfer execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within quality standards, and in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
This position works closely with internal stakeholders, manufacturing facilities, contract manufacturing organizations, and global teams to drive successful technology transfer outcomes while continuously improving transfer methodologies and governance processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multiple Small Molecule technology transfer projects simultaneously
- Manage site to site transfer execution activities across manufacturing networks
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, risks, and project performance metrics
- Ensure transfers are completed according to quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate activities between donor and receiving manufacturing sites
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, PTS, and ATS teams
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment on project objectives and deliverables
- Act as the primary point of contact for technology transfer activities
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks and project reporting structures
- Coach project teams and support transfer sponsors throughout project execution
- Support regulatory submission activities related to technology transfers
- Assist with process validation, qualification, and technical documentation
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and technology transfer best practices
- Provide expertise in technical problem solving and issue resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline
- More than 10 years of experience in Technology Transfer, Product Development, Manufacturing Operations, or Technical Operations
- Strong experience with Small Molecule pharmaceutical products
- Knowledge of liquids, ointments, creams, sterile injectables, sterile pastes, and powder filling processes
- Strong understanding of EU and FDA GMP regulations
- Experience with change control, deviation management, technical protocols, and technical reports
- Experience with regulatory licensing documentation
- Expert level project management and project controlling skills
- Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within complex matrix organizations
- Ability to lead cross functional teams without direct authority
- Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
- Experience using Microsoft Project and enterprise project management tools
- Fluent English communication skills
- Experience working with multicultural and geographically diverse teams
- Knowledge of German or French is an advantage
