Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Supply Chain Financial Analyst to join our client's team. In this role, you will support financial decision-making within the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, focusing on optimizing inventory, profitability, and cash flow. You will work closely with the planning and finance teams to provide valuable insights that drive strategic and operational improvements.
Responsibilities
- Support scenario analysis and valuation decision-making within the S&OP process, considering go-to-market (GtM) and manufacturing priorities.
- Provide end-to-end insights into decisions affecting profitability, capacity, and inventory, based on valorization and variable cost data.
- Assist in transitioning the S&OP process from volume-based to value-based decision-making, supplying financial data to commercial and factory controllers for accurate forecasts.
- Contribute to automation projects by integrating financial and planning insights to streamline processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities for simplifying workflows and improving efficiency.
- Drive capacity utilization during S&OP meetings by sharing relevant financial insights.
- Prepare monthly reports and consolidate data for the global S&OP meetings.
- Act as a backup for the second S&OP controller when needed.
- Challenge plans and support the planning team with financial expertise.
- Support the rollout of production volume upload methods for financial forecasting, ensuring smooth monthly processes.
- Review and reconcile supply volume data used in demand-supply balancing meetings, ensuring consistency across planning hubs.
- Develop and align methodologies for including raw milk sales volumes in financial forecasts.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience, ideally in FMCG, food, or dairy sectors.
- Strong background in Commercial Finance and/or Supply Chain Finance, with solid S&OP experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with scenario modeling.
- Proven ability to assess financial impacts of supply chain decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills in a matrix organization.
- Experience working closely with planning and supply chain teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP, HFM, Power BI, Adaptive, or similar systems is a plus.
- Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are preferred.
- Comfort with automation and process improvement projects.
- Able to challenge existing workflows and promote best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Other Information
This role offers a hybrid working mode—two days at the office in Amersfoort and three days working from home. The position is based at the company’s head office in Amersfoort, Netherlands. The role is a senior-level business partner position, focused on strategic support rather than traditional accounting or reporting.
