About the Position
We are looking for a Logistics Process Owner to take ownership of material supply processes at a biotherapeutics site in Leiden.
In this role, you will look at how materials move through the warehouse, distribution, and supply processes, identify where things can be improved, and help implement more efficient and reliable ways of working.
You will work closely with warehouse, distribution, operations, and planning teams and use data and process insights to improve performance. The role combines logistics, process improvement, documentation, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities

Take ownership of material supply and related logistics processes.

Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Develop, update, and maintain SOPs and other process documentation.

Ensure documentation remains accurate, compliant, and reviewed on time.

Work with warehouse, distribution, operations, and planning teams to solve process issues.

Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes through technology, automation, WMS/TMS, and other digital solutions.

Define and monitor KPIs to measure process performance.

Use data and performance trends to identify improvement opportunities and support decision-making.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and help implement sustainable process changes.

Communicate process improvements and align stakeholders across different teams.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

2+years of experience in logistics, supply chain optimization, process improvement, or a comparable role.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience analyzing processes and translating findings into practical improvements.

Strong attention to detail, particularly around data and process documentation.

Experience working with SOPs and within a regulated or quality-driven environment.

Good knowledge of logistics systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Comfortable working with multiple teams and managing different priorities.

Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage.

Lean/Six Sigma knowledge or certification is a plus.
-
Willingness to work five days onsite in Leiden.
