Role Description
As an Assembly Mechanic, you will be responsible for the correct assembly of modules and complete machines according to customer specifications, technical drawings and quality standards. You will work closely with colleagues across the organization to ensure machines are assembled safely, efficiently and within agreed lead times. In addition to assembly activities, you will contribute to testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvement within your area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and mechatronic modules and machines according to customer specifications.
- Work according to agreed lead times and standard production times.
- Follow assembly, disassembly, inspection, calibration and adjustment procedures.
- Perform test runs and verify the dynamic functions of machines.
- Read and work from technical drawings and assembly documentation.
- Operate industrial equipment safely and in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
- Identify technical issues, faults or deficiencies and communicate them to the Team Leader.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, including manufacturability and reproducibility improvements.
- Participate in work discussions and collaborate with other departments when required.
Requirements
- Secondary education in a relevant technical field.
- Experience and/or affinity with mechanical or mechatronic assembly.
- Experience reading technical drawings.
- Technical problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Strong teamworking and communication skills.
- Result-oriented and focused on quality and customer expectations.
- Able to work according to schedules, procedures and safety requirements.
- Experience in the food processing industry is a plus.
- Good command of English and Dutch or German, both written and spoken.
- Experience in a multicultural and multidisciplinary organization is an advantage.
