Company:
Our client is a large, international life sciences organisation with a major operations site in Breda. The site supports the packaging, labelling, storage and distribution of medicines to markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The environment is fast-paced, highly regulated, and known for handling complex planning challenges and short lead times while maintaining stable operations.
Job Description:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Detailed Scheduler (GMP Environment) to join the Supply Planning team. This person will build and manage short-term packaging and production schedules, ensuring products are planned and delivered on time while supporting launches and product transitions. The role is hands-on, highly collaborative, and focused on keeping operations running smoothly while improving ways of working through standardisation and automation.
Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain short-term production and packaging line schedules to support stable, reliable supply.
• Translate demand and supply inputs into workable production plans, managing orders and driving on-time delivery.
• Support product launches and phase-in/phase-out activities to ensure smooth changeovers and continuity of supply.
• Identify and remove operational “flow stoppers” to support flawless daily execution.
• Track and report weekly/monthly KPIs (including schedule stability) and coordinate follow-up actions with stakeholders.
• Participate in daily operational meetings to review performance and align next steps across teams.
• Lead weekly capacity alignment meetings with manufacturing and other key functions to agree realistic supply plans.
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, warehouse and supply chain teams to resolve issues and protect service levels.
• Drive standardisation, simplification and automation through day-to-day improvements and cross-functional projects.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure planning and execution activities are carried out in line with GMP/GDP expectations and site procedures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, science or a related field.
• Experience in supply chain planning and/or scheduling.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working cross-functionally.
• Analytical mindset with structured problem-solving and root cause analysis capability.
• Exposure to regulated environments (GMP/GDP) is beneficial but not essential.
• Interest in process improvement and automation; experience with tools such as Tableau, Smartsheet, Databricks or RPA is a plus.
• Able to work on site in Breda a minimum of 3 days per week (expect 4–5 days during the first 6 months of training).
Other Information:
The role is based in Breda, Netherlands, within an on-site operations environment. If you are interested and want to apply, please submit your application via the apply button below and contact me.
