Role Description
The Supply Planner plays a key role in translating demand forecasts into a robust, efficient supply plan for part of the Borculo and Outsourcing product portfolio within the group. Acting as the central link between demand, production, and inventory, the planner ensures smooth product flows across a complex supply network. The role requires close collaboration with production sites, quality, demand planning, finance, and order fulfilment to secure optimal service to customers while maximizing value for the business.
Responsibilities

Developing and continuously optimizing the operational and tactical (1–18 months) supply network plan for the assigned portfolio, balancing demand, stock levels, and production/packaging capacities.

Identifying constraints, opportunities, and providing input into the S&OP cycle; participating in tactical supply reviews and conducting scenario analyses that support financial decision-making.

Aligning regularly with production sites regarding performance, maintenance schedules, and capacity availability.

Managing inventory levels, including replenishment and monitoring of aging or obsolete stock.

Tracking performance against budgets, plans, and parameters; performing root-cause analyses and implementing corrective measures in alignment with stakeholders.

Detecting bottlenecks and contributing to improvements in supply chain processes, planning methods, procedures, and systems; drive implementation of approved improvements.

Participating or leading assigned supply chain or cross-functional projects, including new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements

Bachelor’s (HBO) or Master’s (WO) degree.

2–4 years of relevant professional experience.

Understanding of production and logistics processes within an FMCG or food industry environment.

Experience with Advanced Planning Systems, ideally SAP R/3, APO DP/SNP, BW, and optionally OMP.

Strong analytical thinking and clear communication skills.

A proactive problem-solver who sees opportunities and takes initiative.

Ability to make decisions with incomplete or ambiguous information.

Customer-focused and driven to continuously improve operational performance.
