Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Specialist to join their Dutch Nutrition division. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the entire supply chain process, from procurement to distribution, ensuring smooth and reliable production planning, especially during the transition to a new SAP S/4HANA system.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of production planning activities, ensuring continuity and accuracy of schedules.
- Support system processes, including IDocs and system checks, and proactively address disruptions.
- Collaborate closely with the IT service desk, creating and following up on support tickets while translating issues into process improvements.
- Review and enhance existing processes and work instructions, not only within the operations team but also across other departments.
- Act as a key contact for SAP planning topics, contributing to a stable and effective planning process.
- Coordinate with various internal teams (quality, production, operations) and external service providers, such as logistics companies, for the storage and transportation of raw materials and finished goods.
- Visualize and analyze SAP data using Power BI to support decision-making.
- Work in a small, dynamic environment where multiple responsibilities are required, especially during the SAP transition.
Requirements
- Minimum HBO (Bachelor’s) level of education.
- At least 5–8 years of experience in production planning, ideally in food or similar industry sectors.
- Strong expertise in SAP ECC, including production and warehouse modules.
- Hands-on experience with SAP planning activities and system support.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and proactive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch; English is a plus.
- Resilience under pressure and comfort working in a small, fast-paced environment.
