Our client is a large, highly regulated manufacturing and laboratory environment where technical reliability and compliance are critical. The engineering and maintenance organisation supports complex utility and building systems and works closely with stakeholders across the site to ensure safe, uninterrupted operations.

Job Description 
We are looking for a Facilities and Utilities Engineer to take ownership of asset strategy and contribute to the introduction and modification of utility/building assets. The role supports maintenance excellence through reliability methods, compliance investigations, and continuous improvement, acting as a subject matter expert within Asset Maintenance Management.

Responsibilities 
- Develop and maintain asset strategies and associated processes for assigned utility/building assets
- Drive continuous improvement proposals, including new techniques and methodologies
- Support strategic asset planning activities, including long-term planning and investment input
- Contribute to the introduction of new assets and major modifications, ensuring effective handover to the maintenance organisation
- Provide support on complex maintenance problems and contribute to maintenance shutdown preparation, execution, and close-out
- Conduct compliance investigations for issues impacting assets and support root cause analysis and CAPA definition/execution
- Participate in (and where needed lead) Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) sessions and translate outcomes into preventive maintenance plans
- Review supplier maintenance plans and manage supplier contracts where required
- Create and optimise technical documentation and operational procedures
- Define, implement, and monitor performance indicators to assess asset health
- Support and/or supervise internal audits and ensure strong EHS and compliance behaviour
- Participate in an on-call service rotation (24/7) with the team to support critical systems

Requirements 
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Installation Technology, or Process Engineering
- Experience as a Maintenance Engineer (level dependent on seniority)
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical utility systems (e.g., HPW, pure steam, HVAC, gas systems)
- Experience working in a regulated production or laboratory environment (GMP)
- Understanding of relevant standards and practices within maintenance/engineering (e.g., GMP, VCA, RCM, CE, NEN3140)
- Strong analytical, structured, and improvement-oriented working style, with attention to safety and documentation
- Temporary Full-Time Contract (1 year)
