About the Role
We are looking for a QC Lab Technician– Sample Management to join a dynamic Quality Control team supporting laboratory operations. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy working in an organized, hands-on environment where accuracy, efficiency, and teamwork are essential. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow, storage, distribution, and disposal of laboratory samples while ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures. You will play a key role in supporting laboratory operations and maintaining the integrity of critical materials and samples.
Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and distribute laboratory samples to QC testing teams.
- Manage sample storage, including transfers between ultra-low temperature freezers and liquid nitrogen storage systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate sample tracking and documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sample management and storage areas.
- Support 5S and visual management initiatives, including Kanban systems.
- Perform routine sample disposal activities according to approved procedures.
- Complete assigned training and maintain compliance with GMP, GDP, and internal quality requirements.
- Identify and escalate deviations or non-conformities when required.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and small-scale process improvement projects.
- Collaborate closely with QC teams to support efficient laboratory operations.
- Perform additional duties as required to support business needs.
Qualifications
- Secondary Laboratory Education (MLO Level 3/4) or equivalent laboratory-related qualification.
- Candidates with MBO or BSc education are preferred.
Required Skills
- Experience in a QC, laboratory support, sample management, or pharmaceutical/biotechnology environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of GMP, GDP, SOPs, and quality-focused working practices is preferred.
- Comfortable working with sample handling, storage, and documentation processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and flexible approach.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced operational environment.
Preferred Skills
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, evenings, public holidays, and overtime when required.
- Shift pattern: 4 days morning shift (07:00 – 16:00), 2 days off, 4 days evening shift (15:00 – 00:00), 2 days off.
- Reliable transportation is strongly preferred due to early morning and late evening shift schedules.
