Role Description
We are seeking a QC Lab Tech – Sample Management to join our Quality Control Laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt, tracking, storage, and management of laboratory samples, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sample management area following 5S principles, including Kanban systems.
- Ensure proper handling, receipt, and distribution of QC samples and plates across laboratories.
- Transfer samples securely from -80°C freezers to liquid nitrogen storage.
- Perform sample accessioning and disposal as per established procedures.
- Support sample storage workflows, including oversight of sample movement and inventory accuracy.
- Follow and enforce all protocols related to GxP, GMP, and safety regulations.
- Complete necessary training in GxPLearn and Glearn platforms promptly.
- Identify and escalate any deviations or non-conformities promptly.
- Participate in minor improvement projects to enhance workflows and procedures.
- Assist with additional duties as required to support the QC team’s goals.


Requirements
- Secondary laboratory education (e.g., MLO level 3/4) or similar qualification.
- Experience in a QC or laboratory environment, preferably in biotech or pharmaceutical industries.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and sample management processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Understanding of GMP, GDP, and SOPs.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Candidates with a driving license are preferred due to shift times.
