Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated QC Systems specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of QC systems within the laboratory. This role involves ensuring the proper functioning, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, supporting compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficient and accurate testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire lifecycle of QC systems, including calibration, maintenance, and implementation of new equipment.
- Coordinate and perform training for new team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimise downtime.
- Ensure timely review, release testing, and documentation to support lab operations.
- Monitor compliance with GMP policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Lead investigations related to deviations, CAPAs, and change controls.
- Write, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), specifications, and validation documents.
- Support data management by conducting vulnerability assessments and system improvements.
- Act as a subject matter expert during audits and regulatory inspections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in projects related to QC systems.
- Perform audit trail reviews and operational parameter checks.
- Support other departmental goals and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in microbiology or quality control within a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of GMP and laboratory compliance.
- Experience with QC systems, calibration, and maintenance management.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
