Role description
As QC Manager and Performance, you are responsible for leading the quality control and performance team at a manufacturing site. The role ensures reliable and validated quality data for safe product release, defines testing and sampling strategies, and drives continuous improvement across quality processes. You are also a key member of the local quality management team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and reliable quality data using validated test methods through internal and external laboratories
- Define and execute effective test strategies and sampling plans across the manufacturing site
- Maintain ISO17025 accreditation standards for all laboratories used for product release
- Review QC processes and report key performance indicators to improve efficiency, cost, and release timelines
- Monitor factory hygiene and provide transparent reporting to site stakeholders
- Establish and maintain procedures for sampling, testing, reporting, and training
- Evaluate batch records and ensure compliance with specifications, SOPs, and market guidelines
- Inform QA operations of potential analysis delays impacting release decisions
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen process robustness and control
- Escalate non conformities and provide management reports on quality and performance metrics
- Lead, coach, and develop a QC and Performance team responsible for sampling, testing, and reporting
- Support audits, crisis situations, and internal laboratory compliance reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor degree level of working and thinking, preferably in Food Technology
4 to 7 years of experience in QC or QA roles within a manufacturing or laboratory environment
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Experience with laboratory management and quality systems
- Knowledge of statistics, IT tools, and collaboration with R and D and production teams
- Affinity with production processes and end user applications
- Experience within the ingredients or food technology sector is preferred
- Dutch language proficiency is mandatory
