Role description
The Senior Transportation & Logistics Specialist supports regional transportation operations and supply chain activities. The role focuses on managing daily transport operations, resolving disruptions, and coordinating with logistics service providers and internal stakeholders. You will also support supplier performance management, financial analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, while ensuring reliable product supply to customers.
Key responsibilities
- Support daily transportation operations across air, ocean, road, and intermodal transport.
- Resolve operational issues such as delays, disruptions, and shipment holds.
- Coordinate with logistics service providers and act as escalation point when needed.
- Support supplier management, including performance tracking and review meetings.
- Monitor KPIs and follow up on improvement actions with suppliers.
- Support freight cost analysis, budgeting, and audit activities.
- Assist in logistics projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth supply chain execution.
- Manage customer orders, forecasts, and inventory where required.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain.
- Strong experience in transportation operations and multi-modal logistics.
- Experience working with logistics service providers or freight forwarders.
- Experience with financial analysis, cost control, or freight auditing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in fast-paced, international environments.
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with operational awareness.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
