Role Description
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Plant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance team at the Veghel plant. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all maintenance activities, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
-Lead and manage a team of approximately 15 maintenance technicians, including day and shift teams, ensuring high performance and engagement.
-Coordinate and plan maintenance work according to established schedules and in alignment with production plans.
-Provide technical support to production teams to optimize equipment availability and reliability.
-Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring safe working practices and compliance with SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) standards.
-Develop and coach team members, enhancing their skills, independence, and teamwork.
-Monitor and maintain optimal staffing levels to meet maintenance demands at all times.
-Collaborate closely with production to manage and resolve issues affecting manufacturing processes promptly.
-Oversee maintenance projects, including planning, execution, and follow-up, ensuring timely completion.
-Analyze technical and process issues to identify root causes and implement continuous improvement measures.
-Assume the responsibilities of the Maintenance Manager in their absence.
Requirements
-HBO level education or equivalent, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Business Management.
-At least 3 years of experience in a maintenance leadership role, preferably within food, dairy, pharma, or similar industries.
-Prior experience managing or leading a sizable team of technicians.
-Strong stakeholder management skills and leadership qualities.
-Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
-Fluent in Dutch; good English skills are preferred.
