About the role:
The Team Leader Maintenance oversees daily maintenance operations and leads a team of technicians to ensure smooth production support. They coordinate and plan maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. The role acts as a key link between production and technical teams, ensuring efficient communication and execution.
A strong focus is placed on safety, quality, and continuous improvement of processes and performance. It requires solid maintenance experience, leadership skills, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.


Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians (both day shift and shift workers), ensuring effective performance and team development. 
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliability. 
- Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) standards, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. 
- Act as the key liaison between maintenance and production teams, resolving technical issues and minimizing operational disruptions. 
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing breakdowns, optimizing processes, and leading small maintenance projects.


Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical/business field. 
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in maintenance within an industrial environment (e.g., food, dairy, pharma, or manufacturing). 
- At least 3 years of proven leadership or supervisory experience managing technical teams. 
- Strong knowledge of maintenance systems and processes (SAP-PM experience is a plus) with an analytical approach to problem-solving. 
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in Dutch and good command of English.
