Role Description
The Organisation Design Specialist plays a key role in shaping and optimising organisational structures, roles, and operating models to support business strategy and agility. This senior expert position combines organisation design expertise, job evaluation, analytics, and high level advisory to senior stakeholders. The role operates independently on complex, high visibility topics across the organisation.
Responsibilities
Design and redesign organisational structures aligned with strategy and operating models
Conduct organisational diagnostics including spans and layers, grade structures, and FTE analysis
Identify structural inefficiencies such as duplication or unclear accountability
Translate strategic direction into clear organisational models and role definitions
Execute and support job evaluation and job comparison using recognised job evaluation systems
Assess organisational proposals against design principles and HR governance frameworks
Prepare documentation for expert committees and employee representation processes
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and HR stakeholders during transformations
Develop organisational insights through dashboards, trend analysis, and scenario modelling
Deliver impact assessments covering cost, risk, and change implications
Train and coach HR and business stakeholders on organisation design methodologies
Maintain organisation design standards, templates, and playbooks
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in HR, Organisational Studies, Business Administration, or related field
- 6 to 8 years of experience in organisation design, organisation development, or HR transformation
- Strong experience with job evaluation systems, preferably Korn Ferry Hay
- Proven experience in complex reorganisations and organisational change
- Strong analytical mindset with affinity for data and people analytics
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in a similar industry is a strong plus
- English is mandatory, Dutch is a plus
