Role description
The Senior Mechatronics Engineer is responsible for implementing and supporting mechatronic systems within production and packaging lines. The role focuses on equipment deployment, system upgrades, and solving complex technical issues. The position works closely with engineering, maintenance, and operational teams to ensure reliable and efficient performance of technical systems.
Key responsibilities
- Implement new equipment and system upgrades within production and packaging lines.
- Participate in engineering projects and ensure high-quality system deployment.
- Act as the technical expert in mechatronics for engineering and maintenance teams.
- Provide second-line support for complex technical issues on the shop floor.
- Investigate equipment and process issues and implement improvements.
- Plan and execute maintenance and engineering tasks within projects.
- Develop test protocols and perform technical evaluations.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of experience, including experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechatronics systems.
- Experience with engineering projects, preferably CAPEX.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience in regulated environments is a plus.
- Ability to create technical documentation and reports.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English; basic Dutch is a plus.
- Willingness to work outside regular hours when required.
