Job Description
Our client is looking for a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to support engineering projects and technical operations within advanced labelling and packaging lines. This role combines project delivery, technical problem-solving, and day-to-day engineering support in a complex production environment. The successful candidate will play a key part in introducing new systems and equipment upgrades while helping to maintain high technical and compliance standards across the operation.

Responsibilities
- Support the deployment of new products, system upgrades, and equipment within advanced labelling and packaging lines
- Contribute to engineering projects of varying complexity, ensuring a high-quality implementation approach throughout the asset lifecycle
- Act as the mechatronics specialist for maintenance, engineering, and project teams
- Provide second-line technical support for complex mechatronic issues on the shop floor
- Investigate recurring or complex process and equipment problems and help identify practical, long-term solutions
- Plan and carry out engineering and maintenance-related activities within assigned projects
- Write test protocols, complete technical evaluations, and prepare assessment reports
- Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers, including automation, validation, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and other technical stakeholders

Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, science, or another relevant technical discipline
- Strong background in mechatronics
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, including substantial experience in manufacturing or operations
- Experience working on engineering projects, ideally including capital investment projects
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Experience in a regulated environment
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Basic Dutch is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Flexibility to work outside standard office hours when needed
