About the Role:
The Maintenance Engineer ensures reliable and safe operation of cheese slicing and packaging production lines. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, fault diagnostics, and minimizing downtime through technical expertise and root cause analysis. It supports continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, TPM, and automation technologies. The engineer ensures compliance with food safety, machine safety, and regulatory standards while managing maintenance data in SAP PM. Strong collaboration with production teams and hands-on problem-solving are essential for maximizing equipment uptime and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on slicing, packaging, and production equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation faults, minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement long-term technical solutions to prevent recurring breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with safety, food safety (HACCP), and regulatory standards, including proper LOTO and audit support.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing machine performance, spare parts management, and collaborating with production teams.


Requirements:
- Technical qualification (MBO-4/HBO or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5–8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food processing or packaging.
- Strong hands-on expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with proven troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with SAP PM or CMMS systems for maintenance planning, work orders, and asset history tracking.
- Dutch language proficiency, with a proactive, safety-focused mindset and experience in electrical diagnostics and automated packaging equipment.
