QA Specialist, Beilen, Drenthe

The Company
Our client is an international dairy cooperative, established by farmers in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. With a diverse portfolio that includes milk, yogurts, cheese, butter, and infant nutrition, the company serves global markets through multiple locations in the Netherlands.

Role Description
As a QA Specialist, you’ll play a key role in improving QA processes and managing critical quality issues within the QA Release team. Acting as the link between QA and production departments, you’ll drive root cause analysis, preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety.

Responsibilities
 - Identify key issues and develop data-driven action plans with measurable KPIs
 - Conduct gap assessments, trend analyses, and prepare management reports
 - Lead and participate in RCA and SAAB sessions to address major quality issues
 - Support production meetings and ensure quality compliance across operations
 - Serve as backup for QA Release Coordinator and prepare deviation proposals
 - Draft reports (FTR, RTFT, Quality notifications) and provide analytical advice
 - Participate in audits and inform stakeholders on quality performance

Requirements
 - HBO degree in Food Technology, HLO, or a related scientific field
 - 5–10 years of relevant experience in food or pharmaceutical industry (dairy preferred)
 - Strong knowledge of baby food standards and regulatory requirements
 - Experience with SAP-QM and Power BI
 - Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
 - Background in laboratory studies is an advantage
