Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Customer Operations Specialist to join the Customer Operations team in Amersfoort. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of reliable and high-quality customer service within the Belgium market. You will actively participate in executing order-to-cash processes, ensuring seamless order entry, validation, and delivery monitoring through digital platforms. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals starting their careers in supply chain and customer service, gaining hands-on experience with various digital systems and process optimization.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily order-to-cash activities, ensuring accurate order processing and validation via digital channels such as EDI, web portals, and robotic automation.
- Monitor system outputs and delivery statuses; identify and resolve discrepancies to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams, logistics partners, and customers to provide proactive updates and manage expectations regarding orders and deliveries.
- Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and support continuous improvement initiatives, including IT-driven automation and system enhancements.
- Contribute to system testing, documentation, and routine cross-team activities to strengthen understanding of supply chain workflows and digital platforms.
- Work closely with colleagues across Customer Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- Recent university graduate or trainee-level candidate with relevant education (e.g., in logistics, supply chain, or customer service fields).
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
- Strong interest and basic understanding of supply chain processes, especially in FMCG.
- Ability to support order processing, transport coordination, invoicing, and handling customer complaints or returns.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, customer platforms, or automation tools (experience with Salesforce or SAP S4HANA is a plus).
