Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Laboratory Team Leader to oversee daily operations within the microbiological laboratory and sample logistics teams. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth, compliant workflows while supporting the team, driving quality improvements, and actively contributing to the overall quality control objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a team of approximately 15 analysts across microbiology and sample logistics departments.
- Manage daily laboratory activities, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
- Act as the main contact for the lab within the organization, working closely with the technology, QA, and production departments.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the quality control annual plan and various improvement projects.
- Manage workload fluctuations, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively to varying production demands.
- Drive process enhancements, participate in audits, and support the implementation of new procedures or technologies.
- Foster a positive team environment, providing coaching and guidance tailored to different team members' experience levels.
Requirements
- Proven experience in team leadership and laboratory operations.
- Hands-on laboratory experience, preferably with ISO17025 standards.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
- HBO-level education or equivalent.
- Experience with audits is an advantage.
- Soft skills such as empathy, team development, and flexibility are essential.
- Ability to manage both micro lab and sample logistics teams, with distinct leadership approaches for each.
