Role Overview:
As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that the site in Dordrecht operates in full compliance with environmental regulations and permits. You will play a key role in monitoring environmental performance, supporting improvement initiatives, and driving awareness of environmental standards across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage environmental documentation, including permit applications, compliance reports, and management reviews
- Develop audit plans, conduct environmental audits, and ensure proper follow-up on findings
- Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and permits
- Maintain and continuously improve environmental compliance management systems
- Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to implement projects that enhance environmental performance
- Provide expert guidance on environmental topics such as air, water, soil, noise, and waste management
- Support environmental investment projects and contribute to solving complex environmental challenges
- Promote environmental awareness and best practices among employees
Requirements:
- Technical university degree, preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of environmental and safety regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English (written and spoken)
