About the Position

We are looking for a Cost Engineer & Fixed Asset Coordinator to join a dynamic site-based team supporting capital projects and asset management activities.

This is a hybrid role that connects project cost control with financial oversight of assets. You will be responsible for monitoring project spending, supporting financial planning, and ensuring that all capital investments are accurately tracked and compliant with internal and external requirements.

The position offers strong exposure to cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations, with involvement in both ongoing projects and long-term asset management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control costs across capital projects, including tracking budgets, forecasting, and reporting

• Support monthly financial reviews and provide insights on project performance

• Manage and document project changes, ensuring proper financial alignment

• Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including additions, transfers, and disposals

• Ensure compliance with financial policies, controls, and audit requirements

• Support internal and external audits related to capital expenditures and asset accounting

• Coordinate asset verification processes and ensure alignment between physical assets and financial records

• Collaborate with project teams, finance, and procurement to ensure smooth project execution and reporting
  
  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Solid experience in cost control, project controls, or financial management within capital projects

• Familiarity with fixed assets, capital expenditure processes, or asset accounting

• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across different teams

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and financial reporting tools

• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

• Background in engineering, manufacturing, chemicals, or a similar industry is preferred
