Job Description
This role focuses on leading and optimizing site logistics and warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment. You will oversee end-to-end logistics processes, including transport, inventory, storage, and distribution. It involves managing teams, ensuring safety compliance, and meeting operational KPIs. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and performance management methods. Overall, it combines leadership, operational control, and cross-functional coordination to improve efficiency and delivery service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily site logistics operations, including transport, warehouse activities, and order fulfillment.
- Lead and supervise logistics teams, ensuring effective people management, performance tracking, and development.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, legal requirements, and proper handling of hazardous (ADR) goods.
- Manage inventory, storage optimization, and ensure timely delivery with accurate logistics and customs documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/KPIs) to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and support overall operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (HBO/WO level) in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in a logistics, warehouse, or production/manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and experience handling hazardous goods (ADR/PGS is a plus).
- Experience with Lean, continuous improvement, shopfloor management, and problem-solving techniques.
- Proficiency in logistics systems (e.g., SAP), planning tools, and good communication skills in English (Dutch is a strong advantage).
