Company
Our client is a well-established, international FMCG manufacturing organisation with a complex supply network. The environment is fast-moving and highly collaborative, with strong focus on customer service, inventory optimisation, product freshness, and continuous improvement across end-to-end supply chain operations.
Job Description
We are looking for a Short-Term Supply Network Planner to manage finished goods availability for a defined portfolio across multiple markets and supply locations. This role is central to creating feasible plans, resolving supply/demand exceptions, and coordinating with key stakeholders to protect service levels while balancing cost, inventory, and freshness requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate short-term production plans and communicate updates to factory scheduling teams in a timely way
- Own short-term finished goods availability across the assigned portfolio (including semi-finished products where relevant)
- Manage product deployments within the assigned supply network based on market needs and stock availability
- Identify and resolve exceptions in the 0–12 week horizon (demand vs. supply imbalances), including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
- Escalate capacity and material supply risks through the relevant planning governance
- Run scenario planning and adjust plans based on constraints such as demand sensing inputs, material availability, stock positions, expiry, allocation rules, and priorities
- Monitor service level and inventory exceptions; drive replenishment actions within the distribution network
- Follow up on holds, shipments, and past-due elements that impact availability for designated products
- Propose inventory rebalancing options (e.g., between warehouses) to improve service and reduce aged stock risk
- Support decisions around non-performing inventory movements
- Contribute to planning for seasonal activities, activity management, and new product launches
- Track, analyse, and report relevant performance metrics to support improvements in cash, cost, and customer service
- Own supply-related case fill rate root cause analysis and prevention actions
- Support master data set-up and accuracy (including periodic audits) for product, production, and network planning data
- Provide back-up support for other planners when needed
Requirements
- Higher professional education or university degree, ideally with a Supply Chain background
- Experience in production planning, short-term planning/S&OE, or supply network planning within a complex environment
- Strong analytical skills, including scenario evaluation and structured problem solving
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple stakeholders across markets and sites
- Fluent English; Dutch is a plus
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model with regular on-site collaboration
