Role Description
As a Computational Modeling Engineer, you will develop and apply physics-based computational models and simulations to solve complex mechanical and engineering challenges. You will use advanced simulation techniques to support product development, optimization, and virtual prototyping across innovative healthcare applications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, apply, and validate advanced physics-based computational models and simulations for complex engineering challenges.
  • Support R&D projects through computational mechanics, simulation-driven design, and virtual prototyping.
  • Apply modeling techniques in areas such as solid mechanics, structural dynamics, and multiphysics.
  • Translate simulation results into clear, actionable insights to support engineering and product development decisions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify modeling strategies for innovative healthcare applications.
  • Contribute to the development of computational modeling capabilities and stay up to date with new numerical methods and simulation technologies.


Requirements

  • PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Computational Mechanics, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computational modeling, simulation, solid mechanics, structural mechanics, or dynamics.
  • Hands-on experience with simulation tools such as Abaqus, ANSYS, COMSOL, Marc/Mentat, or OpenFOAM.
  • Experience developing, applying, and validating physics-based or mechanistic models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn simulation results into practical engineering insights.
  • A proactive, innovative mindset with an interest in applying advanced computational methods to real-world engineering and healthcare challenges.
