Role Description
We are recruiting for a Project Portfolio Manager who will oversee the governance and ongoing enhancement of project and portfolio management processes within the innovation division. The role focuses on aligning projects with strategic goals and ensuring successful execution in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and promote effective governance for innovation projects and portfolios.
- Develop and maintain portfolio overviews that support decision-making by the portfolio board.
- Monitor portfolio data, dependencies, and governance schedules to identify risks and opportunities.
- Provide insights into resource demand and optimize resource allocation across projects.
- Challenge and support project managers regarding budgets, benefits, and planning accuracy.
- Ensure the correct and consistent use of portfolio management tools, including regular data updates.
- Assist the Innovation Board in assessing portfolio performance and benefits realization.
- Translate lessons learned into more accurate forecasting and value prediction for future projects.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Over 10 years’ experience in project and portfolio management within complex organizations.
- Proven track record with innovation portfolios, stage-gate processes, and project governance.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in portfolio analysis and benefits tracking.
- Hands-on experience with portfolio management tools and systems (e.g., PowerBI a plus).
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at various levels.
