Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality & Food Safety Supervisor to oversee all quality assurance and control activities at a busy manufacturing site. This key leadership role involves safeguarding product safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and continuously improving quality processes to meet the company’s high standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and coach the QA/QC team to foster a high-performance environment.
- Promote a strong culture of quality and food safety across the site.
- Own and improve QA processes, standards, and systems regularly.
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and external regulations.
- Prepare for and manage internal and external audits.
- Monitor and report on quality performance through KPIs and other metrics.
- Manage quality incidents and crisis situations effectively.
- Proactively identify potential food safety and quality risks and implement mitigation plans.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams within the organization.
- Represent the QA function within the Plant Leadership Team.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Food Science or a related field; a Bachelor's degree may be considered with extensive experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, focusing on Quality and Food Safety.
- Knowledge of food and dairy processing standards.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (such as Foqus or similar).
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working within a matrix organization and managing change.
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
