Job Description
The client is looking for a QA Specialist – External Manufacturing to support quality activities across its external manufacturing network. This role focuses on ensuring products meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and agreed quality expectations. The position involves close collaboration with external manufacturing partners as well as internal teams across quality, supply chain, procurement, and research and development.
Responsibilities
- Manage and follow up on customer and consumer complaints, including reporting and root cause analysis
- Support the release process for finished products, including batch release activities in SAP
- Drive improvement initiatives related to complaint management, supplier quality, and process performance
- Monitor and report on supplier quality management activities
- Provide quality-related information to internal stakeholders on products, specifications, analyses, certificates, and sustainability requirements
- Prepare and maintain monthly KPI reporting
- Act as a support point for quality topics across procurement, supply chain, R&D, and other business functions
- Work closely with quality specialists to improve the quality performance of external manufacturing partners and maintain strong working relationships
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or similar
- Around 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a food manufacturing environment
- Experience or strong affinity with quality assurance, quality systems, database management, or customer service
- Experience with SAP and standard office tools
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken
- Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented approach
- Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Understanding of food production processes is an advantage
