Role Description
We are seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our client’s Supply & Operations Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining optimal supply network plans for a dedicated product portfolio, ensuring seamless coordination between demand and supply to meet customer needs efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously optimize operational and tactical supply plans covering 1 to 18 months for your assigned product portfolio, balancing demand, inventory, and production capacity.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, demand management, logistics, finance, and order fulfillment to align planning and resolve issues.
- Identify constraints and opportunities in the supply chain, provide valuable input for the S&OP process, and support complex scenario analysis to inform business decisions.
- Monitor plant performance, maintenance schedules, and capacity availability; discuss and coordinate these with plant managers.
- Manage inventory levels, including replenishment, aging stock follow-up, and obsolescence management.
- Analyze deviations from plans, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in agreement with stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning systems, procedures, and processes, ensuring effective implementation of enhancements.
- Participate in and support supply chain projects, such as new product introductions or process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in supply chain planning, ideally within the FMCG or food industry.
- Proficiency in SAP (particularly R/3, APO DP/SNP) and familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, stakeholder management, and excellent communication abilities.
- Practical, flexible, and adaptable with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
