Role Description
The client is a global leader in food and nutrition with operations across five continents, is expanding its IT & Data organization within the Benelux region. As part of the Financial Control & Governance team, the IT & Financial Data Analyst plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial management, strong governance processes, and high?quality reporting across the Benelux IT & Data landscape. In this position, you will support both local and global stakeholders, driving operational excellence in financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, compliance, purchasing, and reporting. This role is essential to maintaining disciplined financial governance and contributing to Danone’s broader ambition to leverage technology and data as strategic differentiators.
Responsibilities
- Acting as a key expert for financial processes, governance standards, and reporting within the IT & Data Benelux team.
- Executing financial control activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the company’s guidelines and reporting tools.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across financial governance, reporting practices, and process efficiency.
- Maintaining and strengthening relationships with finance stakeholders across the Benelux cluster.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with corporate IT & Data financial policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
- Providing Benelux teams with training, guidance, and clear documentation related to financial processes and tools.
- Managing administrative tasks such as purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoice processing for both CAPEX and OPEX.
- Ensuring full compliance with financial management procedures in day?to?day operations.
- Independently producing financial reports at legal?entity level using the client’s reporting systems.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar financial control, governance, or reporting role.
- Strong understanding of key financial concepts (OPEX, CAPEX, P&L, balance sheet) and processes (budgeting, forecasting).
- Experience using SAP for purchasing, controlling, and reporting tasks.
- Ability to coach and support colleagues on financial topics and tools.
- Proficient in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint, with hands-on experience in reporting and dashboarding.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and self?motivation.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high?quality outputs.
- Continuous improvement mentality with a strong drive for efficiency and optimization.
- Fast learner with a collaborative approach and strong team orientation.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, suitable for all organizational levels.
- Well?organized, able to prioritize effectively, and capable of working autonomously.
- Skilled in documenting processes and creating clear work instructions.
- Willing to travel to locations within the Benelux region.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver process or reporting improvements in previous positions.
- Proven advanced Excel capabilities, supported by practical examples during interviews.
- Solid Power BI experience, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and analytical insights for decision?making.
