Job Description
The client is looking for a Regulatory Packaging Program Manager to lead a major European compliance programme linked to packaging regulations. This role will take ownership of the overall programme plan and coordinate multiple teams across the business to ensure the organization is fully prepared for upcoming regulatory requirements.
The position is focused on driving alignment, governance, planning, and execution across several business areas. It is well suited to someone with strong programme management experience who can manage complexity, keep stakeholders aligned, and ensure key milestones are delivered on time.
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall programme plan, including milestones, timelines, and critical dependencies
Coordinate work across functions such as R&D, procurement, regulatory affairs, legal, digital, commercial, and packaging teams
- Set up and manage the governance structure for the programme, including working groups and leadership reporting
- Ensure the right data is collected and available to support required compliance documentation
Track risks, issues, and gaps, and escalate key decisions where needed
- Drive alignment on supplier data requirements, templates, and ways of working
- Support the development of digital solutions for storing, retrieving, and managing regulatory information
- Coordinate external support resources where needed, including consultants and contractors
- Monitor resource needs across teams and support planning discussions
- Prepare clear status updates, dashboards, and decision papers for senior stakeholders
- Help coordinate responses to external compliance-related queries from customers or retail partners
Requirements
- Strong experience in senior PMO or programme management roles
- A track record of leading complex, cross-functional programmes with multiple stakeholders
- Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally linked to packaging, sustainability, chemicals, or compliance
- Strong planning, governance, and risk management skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience working with senior leadership
- A structured and detail-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments
