The Company
A global consumer goods organisation with multiple business groups operating across Europe. The company works within regulated product and packaging categories and prioritises compliance, sustainability, and efficient cross functional collaboration.

Role Description
The Packaging Manager leads the cross business group compliance program for the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation 2026. The role ensures readiness for mandatory declarations and technical documentation, drives governance structures, manages data and supplier alignment, and coordinates all cross functional activities required for regulatory audit readiness.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the integrated PPWR 2026 program plan, milestones, and critical path
- Lead coordination across R and D, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Digital, Legal and Packaging teams
- Oversee governance model, run the Cross BG Working Group, and report to the EU R and D and Procurement Steering Committee
- Ensure timely data availability across compounds, components, packs, products and manufacturing sites
- Identify risks, gaps, and interdependencies, escalating critical issues as needed
- Drive harmonised supplier data requests and alignment of templates
- Coordinate digital solution requirements for data storage and audit readiness
- Manage external consultants, contractors and PMO resources
- Track resourcing needs and support funding discussions
- Prepare progress updates, dashboards and decision papers for senior leadership
- Coordinate responses to customer and retailer queries ahead of deadlines


Requirements
- Proven PMO or program management experience in complex, multi stakeholder environments
- Experience within regulated industries such as packaging, chemicals, sustainability or compliance
- Strong governance, planning and risk management capabilities
- Ability to operate quickly and effectively under regulatory deadlines
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Structured and detail oriented approach with ability to handle ambiguity
- Experience with EU packaging or product compliance regulations preferred
- Exposure to procurement led supplier data collection programs is desirable
- Familiarity with digital data platforms or regulatory documentation systems is beneficial
